Pacific Wave held it's second First Friday Art Walk on Friday February 5th from 5pm to 9pm. Featuring local photographer Mike Healey.
The First Friday Art Walk is a unique and completely unstructured art tour where local artists and businesses team up to display work from the many talented artists in Santa Cruz. Pacific Wave Surf Shop is a proud supporter, and this past Friday we held a photography show at Pacific Wave Surf Shop in the upstairs surf/skate/snow loft. Mike Healey, a Santa Cruz photographer who is a local favorite, was the featured artist. Everyone, especially Mike Healey, had a great time and found the show to be very successful. This event brought many repeat faces, but also many new ones who were eager to see the show and come back for more. Mike Healey's photos will remain on display until the next Art Walk series.
We are honored to display Mike Healey's amazing photos for the February Art Walk and sell his prints at our shop for the rest of the month. Mike is one of the best local Santa Cruz surf photographers and he currently photographs local surfing events as well as the Hurley US Open, Hurley Pro and the Pacific Wave Spring Fling surf contest sponsored by Hurley. Mike is the official Pacific Wave team photographer and we all had a great time hosting this event.
